'63 S-Style Set

Our '63 S-style set is our favourite S-style pickup set. The windings of the individual pickups are matched to the respective mounting position, which was not always the case with the original set. The pickups from this era are known for their slightly higher number of windings and are therefore very popular. The Alnico 5 magnets used deliver a more stable and also more aggressive tone than the Alnico 3 magnets used on leading models. The use of low-capacitance Formvar Wire provides the typical bony tone that we know from H. Marvin, M. Knopfler and R. Gallagher, for example. DC resistance bridge: 6.5 k-Ohm, centre: 6.3 k-Ohm, neck: 6.0 k-Ohm

Hendrix Style '69 Set

Our Hendrix Style '69 pickup set is inspired by the legendary guitarist J. Hendrix. We use grey vulcanised fibre plates and wrap them with Plain Enamel Magnet Wire for an authentic vintage sound. The Alnico 5 magnets correspond to the historical models in length and GAUS values. The special feature of our Hendrix '69 set is the reverse staggered arrangement of the magnetic polepieces, which is normally common on left-handed guitars. This creates a unique vibe that can be heard clean on songs like "Castles Made Of Sand" and "Little Wing" and with overdrive and fuzzface on songs like "3rd Stone From The Sun" and "Foxy Lady". Lenny Set

Our Lenny '65 S-Style pickup set is designed to achieve the characteristic sound of S.R.V.'s "Lenny" guitar. With a percussive sound, tight bass and pleasant highs, this set brings out the typical vibe of the old '65 pickups. The pickups are wound with dark plain enamel wire on grey vulcanised fibre bobbins and fitted with vintage stacked Alnico magnets of different heights. The DC resistance of these pickups is slightly higher than that of the '69 S-style set, resulting in a unique sound.

Stage Struck Set

The Stage Struck Set offers the characteristic scratchy, brilliant and hot sound that we know from R. Gallagher in his explosive live shows in sweaty clubs. The handmade Rory Tribute pickups deliver powerful and articulate tones with the typical single-coil sheen and plenty of overtones. Made from black vulcanised fibre plates and Clothwire leads, the pickups are visually and sonically true to their role models. With ohm values of bridge: 7.5 k-ohm, centre: 7.2 k-ohm and neck: 6.9 k-ohm.

Johnson Set "Tones"

Our "Tones" set is a combination of `54 style single coils in the bridge and neck position together with a `63 style single coil in the pickguard centre, which makes this set very versatile. The two `54 style pickups transmit a very warm, sweet tone, while the `63 pickup in switch positions 2 and 4 of the five-way switch adds fine, sparkling highs. The bridge pickup has a few additional windings so that it never sounds thin, even with overdriven amplifiers. The ohm values are: bridge: 6.9 K-ohms, centre: 6.5 K-ohms, neck: 5.8 K-ohms. This set is ideal for guitarists who value versatility and sound quality.

Love & Peace Set

The "Love & Peace" S-Style Set combines our '69 S-Style pickups in the neck and middle position with a Hotwound Custom Bridge pickup. The traditionally wound neck and middle pickups deliver the percussive and tight '69 tone, while the Hotwound Custom Bridge pickup produces a stable mid-rock tone. Neck: 5.8 K-ohms, middle: 6.0 K-ohms, bridge: 11 K-ohms. Enjoy the classic sound and a harmonious playing feel with this set.

Tweed Tone Deluxe

Our Tweed Tone Deluxe '54 S-Style Set is handmade and modelled on the pickups from the early years. It gives your guitar the typical warm single-coil sound known from H. Marvin to J. Mayer: cosy and warm with sweet highs. Made from black vulcanised fibre plates, 42AGW enamelled copper wire and clothwire connection strands. The Relic magnets not only give the set an authentic character visually, but also sonically. The pickups are waxed to prevent microphonics. The coils of the Tweed Tone Deluxe '54 S-Style Set are manufactured with historically correct winding numbers, which means that the ohm values can vary slightly.

Highway Star '72 Set

Our Highway Star '72 S-Style Set is a replica of the pickups from the years 1970 to 1975. The pickups are made of grey vulcanised fibre plates wrapped with plain enamel magnet wire and fitted with Alnico V magnets that correspond to the historically correct length dimensions and GAUSS values. The Highway Star '72 set has a DC resistance in the range of 5.9 kilo-ohms to 6.1 kilo-ohms. With this set you get the sound of Blackmoore, Trower and Trout.

Texas Twanger S-Style Set

The Texas Twanger S-Style Set was designed to integrate the classic Tele twang into a Strat. The hot single coils use a special, slightly thinner wire and stacked Alnico 5 magnets in combination with a steel reflector plate on the underside of the pickup. The Texas Twanger Set delivers the twangy, punchy tone of a T-style pickup and the "quack" of an S-style set in the intermediate positions. Gilmour Tribute Set

Our Gilmour Tribute Strat Set was developed in collaboration with Jens Knoop from www.lefthandgear.de. We had a lot of fun selecting the materials and testing them with Jens. Here are the specifications: Bridge Pickup: Black Bobbin, Alnico 5 magnets and a super-hot 12.9 K-Ohm coil provide midrange punch and make the overtones jump for joy. Middle Pickup: Grey Bobbin, Alnico 5 magnets, wrapped with classic plain enamel magnet wire. This RW/RP '60 pickup delivers a transparent tone, especially in the intermediate positions, and provides hum-free quack. Neck pickup: Black Bobbin Alnico 5 magnets, wound with the legendary Formvar wire as it was before 1965 - typical Gilmour neck pickup tone!
