Greeny Blues Humbucker Set

The Greeny Blues Humbucker Set is inspired by the legendary pickups that Peter Green used in his famous guitar, which he later gave to Gary Moore. The bridge pickup is wound with 42 AWG plain-enamelled magnet wire, just like the old PAFs from the early days. It features an 8.3 kΩ winding and a non-matching coil wing pattern for an authentic vintage sound. The neck pickup features a special winding and a unique coil pattern that reflects Green’s distinctive blues tone. Both the bridge and neck humbuckers are hand-wound and utilise special demagnetised Alnico 5 magnets, which deliver a vintage tone with superb articulation and attack, without the harshness of modern Burst-style humbuckers. The set delivers warm tones at the neck and an aggressive, sparkling sound from the bridge pickup. In the middle position of the switch, the set produces the legendary tone associated with Fleetwood Mac, Peter Green and even Gary Moore.

Vintage Humbuckers, Vintage Clone Butyrate Bobbins

These humbuckers are manufactured using vintage-clone butyrate bobbins and specially machined steel components, and are wound with 42 AWG plain enamel magnet wire, just like the old PAF pickups. The custom-made slugs and keeper bar, combined with the use of special Alnico IV magnets, give them a vintage sound that still offers great articulation, but without the harshness found in most modern Burst pickups. These humbuckers have a very distinctive sound. The bridge and neck humbuckers are wound to 8.0 kΩ / 7.2 kΩ. Coil colours: double cream, double black, zebra and reverse zebra.

Atomic Punk

The Atomic Punk ’78 Style Alnico Cream Vintage humbucker is fitted with Plain Enamel 42 AWG wire and has a DC resistance of 9.06 kΩ. This humbucker adds a new dimension to your lead guitar sound by offering the perfect combination of warmth and attack. Dave Zeppelin PAF-Style Set

These humbuckers pay homage to the world’s greatest rock band and are manufactured to the following specifications: a double-white bridge humbucker and a covered neck humbucker. Both pickups are hand-wound using 42 AWG wire and additional windings. The long, PAF-style Alnico 5 magnet ensures a balanced combination of power and clarity. To replicate Jimmy Page’s tones, both pickups feature four-wire wiring for series or parallel connection. The bridge pickup has a DC resistance of 8.9 K, similar to the Double-White PAF on Jimmy’s old ‘Paula’. An aged nickel-silver cover is used for the matching neck humbucker. The neck pickup is wound to 7.7 kΩ DC resistance.

Fandango Set

The Fandango Set consists of hand-wound humbuckers made with 42 AWG magnet wire. They are overwound to produce a full and dynamic tone. The bridge humbucker delivers an aggressive and articulate sound with plenty of overtones, particularly when used with an overdriven amplifier. The Alnico V magnet and 9.2 k-ohm impedance give this pickup a killer sound. The neck-position pickup features an Alnico 5 magnet and delivers sweet bass tones without sounding muddy. Both pickups use short-leg backplates, black, zebra-striped or cream-coloured coils, and 4-wire wiring for coil splitting. The bridge pickup fits F-style tremolo units and G-style bridges, whilst the neck pickup complies with the modern 50 mm standard. The set is supplied without covers; optional polished or aged nickel-finish covers are available separately.

Beano Bluesbreaker Set

The Beano ‘Bluesbreaker’ Set is inspired by Eric Clapton’s playing on the John Mayall Blues Breakers recording. During this period, Eric experimented with the riffs of Freddie King, Buddy Guy and others, which had a harder and creamier sound than anything British Beat-era guitarists had to offer. When Clapton saw a photo of Freddie King with a Paula on an album cover, he promptly bought himself a second-hand Paula Sunburst. He paired this with a newly designed Marshall amplifier, creating a completely new sound: distorted, creamy and with plenty of sustain! The humbuckers are wound with 42 AWG magnet wire to 7.0 kOhm for the neck and 7.7 kOhm at the bridge. We use the larger Alnico 5 magnets, as found in early PAFs and single-braided vintage cables. They produce a very beautiful, clear tone. Bring the legendary Clapton sound to your guitar with this set!

We were able to acquire original T-Top bobbins from old stock at the famous Kalamazoo factory, making them a real find for any lover of this classic sound. Mrs. Bean Humbucker Set

Our Mrs. Bean Set is a reproduction of the legendary Travis Bean Artist 1000 humbuckers. Following thorough research and email correspondence with former Travis Bean employee Frank Kellerher, we have succeeded in recreating the distinctive tonal characteristics for which these pickups are so well known. The Mrs. Bean pickups have standard PAF humbucker dimensions and will therefore fit any humbucker guitar. The pickups are sold with closed nickel-silver caps.

Firebird Mini Humbucker Set

Our Firebird Mini Humbuckers are manufactured to the specifications of the original vintage models. Beneath the chrome-plated nickel silver cover lie the two hand-wound humbucker coils, each containing an Alnico magnet pole piece. This combination gives the Firebird pickup a distinctive vibe: an open humbucker tone with single-coil character. Johnny Winter sends his regards! Deluxe Alnico 8 Mini Humbucker

The Deluxe Alnico 8 Mini Humbucker brings the full sound of its larger PAF counterpart to any guitar with a mini humbucker cut-out. We have reworked the sound of the original version of this pickup type without fundamentally altering the original design. The two humbucker coils are wound more heavily, and the Alnico 8 magnet produces a snotty tone brimming with overtones. Available in neck version (7.0 kΩ) and bridge version (8.0 kΩ). The price is for a pickup with a nickel/chrome cover; a gold cover is also available at an additional cost.

Silvertone 1446 Mini Humbucker

The Silvertone 1446 Mini Humbuckers were manufactured in the 1960s specifically by Gibson for the Sears/Silvertone Company in Kalamazoo and were fitted exclusively to the Silvertone 1446. They deliver a warm, full-bodied vintage tone and sound bigger than you might expect. The pickup is supplied without a mounting frame. The price is for a pickup with a nickel/chrome cover. A gold cover is available at an additional cost.

P-94

Our P-94s are modelled on the legendary vintage Soapbar P-90. The bridge pickup delivers the typical punchy P-90 tone, whilst the neck pickup is slightly underwound to produce a sound with clearly defined bass and crisp treble.

HSS Set

P-33 Splitbucker pickup in humbucker format

The P-33 Splitbucker reproduces, in the broadest sense, the tone of a P-90 single-coil pickup, but without the annoying hum associated with single-coil pickups.

The tone is surprisingly rich, with a sweet mid-range timbre just as you’d expect from a good old P-90.

Available as a bridge or neck pickup.

P-33F Splitbucker in humbucker format

The P-33F split-bucker pickup reproduces, in the broadest sense, the tone of an F-style single-coil pickup, but without the annoying hum associated with single-coil pickups. Each of the two humbucker coils contains three Alnico bar magnets which pick up the vibrations of the strings. The tone is remarkably open and percussive, with tight bass and shimmering treble. We recommend the P-33F as a neck pickup in combination with the P-33 bridge pickup.

Available as a bridge or neck pickup.
