Greeny Blues Humbucker Set

The Greeny Blues Humbucker Set is inspired by the legendary pickups used by Peter Green in his famous guitar which he later gave to Gary Moore. The bridge pickup is wound with 42 AWG plain enamel magnet wire, just like the old PAFs in the early years. It features an 8.3K ohm winding and a mismatched coil wing pattern for an authentic vintage sound. The neck pickup is equipped with a special winding and a unique coil pattern that reflects Green's special blues tone. Both the bridge and neck humbuckers are hand-wound and use special demagnetised Alnico 5 magnets that give a vintage tone with great articulation and attack, without the harshness of modern burst-style humbuckers. The set offers warm tones at the neck and an aggressive, sparkling bridge pickup sound. In the middle position of the switch, the set produces the legendary tone familiar from Fleetwood Mac, Peter Green and even Gary Moore.

Vintage Humbucker, Vintage Clone Butyrate Bobbins

These humbuckers are made with vintage clone butyrate coils, specially machined steel parts, and wound with 42AWG plain enamel magnet wire like the old PAF pickups. The custom made slugs and keeper bar and the use of special Alnico IV magnets give them a vintage sound that still offers great articulation, but not the harshness that most modern burst pickups have. These humbuckers sound very special. Bridge and neck humbuckers are wound to 8.0 k-ohm /7.2 k-ohm. Coil colours: Double cream, double black, zebra and inverted zebra.

Dave Zeppelin PAF Style Set

These humbuckers are a tribute to the world's greatest rock band and are made to the following specifications: A double white bridge humbucker and a covered neck humbucker. Both pickups are hand-wound with 42 AWG wire and additional windings. The long PAF-style Alnico 5 magnet provides a balance of power and clarity. To get close to the tones of Jimmy Page, both pickups have four-wire wiring for series or parallel connection. The bridge pickup has a DC resistance of 8.9 K, similar to the Double-White PAF on Jimmy's old Paula. An aged nickel silver cover is used for the matching neck humbucker. The neck pickup is wound on 7.7 K ohm DC-R.

Fandango Set

The Fandango Set consists of hand-wound humbuckers made with 42AWG magnet wire. They are overwound to produce a full and dynamic tone. The bridge humbucker provides an attacking and articulate sound with plenty of overtones, especially when used with an overdriven amplifier. The Alnico V magnet and the impedance of 9.2 k-ohms give this pickup a killer sound. The neck position pickup has an Alnico 5 magnet and delivers sweet bass without sounding muddy. Both pickups use shortleg base plates, black, zebra or cream coloured coils and 4-wire leads for coil splitting. The bridge pickup fits F-style trem units and G-style bridges, while the neck pickup conforms to the modern standard of 50 mm. The set is supplied without covers and optional shiny or aged nickel finish covers are available separately.

Beano Bluesbreaker Set

The Beano "Bluesbreaker" set is inspired by Eric's Clapton playing on the John Mayall Blues Breakers recording. During this time Eric was experimenting with the riffs of Freddie King, Buddy Guy and others, which had a heavier and creamier sound than anything British beatboom guitarists had to offer. When Clapton saw a photo of Freddie King with a Paula on an album cover, he promptly bought a second-hand Paula Sunburst. He combined it with a newly designed Marshall amplifier and created a completely new sound: distorted, creamy and sustainable! The humbuckers are wound with 42AWG magnetic wire to 7.0 kOhm for the neck and 7.7 kOhm for the bridge. We use the larger Alnico 5 magnets as used on the early PAFs and single braid vintage cables. Mrs Bean Humbucker Set

Our Mrs Bean set is a replica of the legendary Travis Bean Artist 1000 humbuckers. After thorough research and e-mail communication with former Travis Bean employee Frank Kellerher, we have succeeded in reproducing the special sound characteristics for which these pickups are so well known. The Mrs Bean pickups have standard PAF humbucker dimensions and therefore fit into any humbucker guitar. The pickups are sold with closed nickel silver caps.

Firebird MIni Humbucker Set

Our Firebird Mini Humbuckers are manufactured according to the specifications of the old originals. Under the chrome-plated nickel silver cover are the two hand-wound humbucker coils, each with an Alnico magnet polepiece. This combination gives the Firebird pickup a special vibe: open humbucker tone with single-coil character. Johnny Winter sends his regards! Deluxe Alnico 8 Mini Humbucker

The Deluxe Alnico 8 Mini Humbucker transports the full tone of its big PAF brother to any guitar with a mini-humbucker cutaway. We have reworked the sound of the original version of this pickup type without fundamentally changing the original design. The two humbucker coils are wound hotter and the Alnico 8 magnet produces a snotty tone bursting with overtones. Neck version (7.0 k-ohm) and bridge version (8.0 k-ohm) available. Silvertone 1446 MIni Humbucker

The Silvertone 1446 Mini Humbuckers were specially made by Gibson for the Sears/Silvertone Company in Kalamazoo in the 1960s and were only used on the Silvertone 1446. They deliver a warm, sustaining vintage tone and sound bigger than you might think. The pickup comes without a mounting frame. Price refers to a pickup with nickel/chrome cover.
