Beano Bluesbreaker
Description
The Beano "Bluesbreaker" set is inspired by Eric's Clapton playing on the John Mayall Blues Breakers recording. During this time Eric was experimenting with the riffs of Freddie King, Buddy Guy and others, which had a heavier and creamier sound than anything British beatboom guitarists had to offer. When Clapton saw a photo of Freddie King with a Paula on an album cover, he promptly bought a second-hand Paula Sunburst. He combined it with a newly designed Marshall amplifier and created a completely new sound: distorted, creamy and sustainable! The humbuckers are wound with 42AWG magnetic wire to 7.0 kOhm for the neck and 7.7 kOhm for the bridge. We use the larger Alnico 5 magnets as used on the early PAFs and single braid vintage cables. They produce a very nice, clear tone. Get the legendary sound of Clapton in your guitar with this set!
